Christmas and a New Year!!!

I cannot believe it is 2009. Christmas went by so fast. This year we went to be with my family in El Paso for Christmas. We have our puppy Lexie so we decided to make the 10 hour drive down there. It was a long day...Lexie did so good and slept the entire way there in her crate. We got really lucky with her! We didn't do to much while we were there. A lot of eating, shopping, and relaxing. If you have ever been to El Paso you know of the famous Chicos Tacos. Matt has become obsessed and we eat there every time we visit. I had such a good time with my family. I love being home in El Paso with Matt. Here are a few pictures of our Christmas vacation.

We planned on being in Amarillo for New Years but Matt started a new job the week after Christmas and was not able to take any time off. So we were here in the Big D for New Years. We went to The Keg for dinner (so good) with Clay and Lindsey and then came home to our puppies to watch the ball drop. We had a great time Clay and Lindsey, we are going to have to make it a tradition to be together on New Years...we have done it 2 years in a row!
Friday night after work we left for Amarillo to see Matts family and have Christmas with them. I love going home to Amarillo with Matt. He just loves where he is from, but who doesnt? Here are some pictures from New Years.

A HohoHo Weekend

This weekend definitely got us in the Christmas spirit! Friday night we had our annual Don We Now Our Gay Apparel party. Matt and I both lost all our ugly sweaters from college so I had to go out and find something hideous to wear. Oh did I find it! Matt and I both wore Christmas Onesies... by the way Matt's was a womens XL, I think that makes it more funny.

Don't we look cute!

On Saturday Lindsey, Murph and I dragged the boys to the Nutcracker in downtown Fort Worth at Bass Hall. Before the Nutcracker we ate at Matt's favorite new restaurant, Reata. Matt had a Buffalo Steak. I was nervous to try it but it was delicious. We had so much fun I just love downtown Fort Worth. I love all the Christmas lights they put up. I am going to miss Ryan and Lindsay when they move to Amarillo.
On Sunday we had our Sunday School Christmas party. For gifts we were to bring one of our wedding gifts that we received that we would never want. It was pretty funny. We brought these horrible glitter ornaments that we received. I do think that it was one of the worst gifts. Sorry to the couple that got it! It was a fun weekend and I am so ready for Christmas to come. I cannot wait to go home.
Here are some pictures of Saturday night!

Our First Year and First Blog Post

Matt and I recently celebrated our 1 year anniversary on December 1. Our anniversary fell on a Monday so that night we decided to go out to eat. We ate at Chamberlain's Fish Market, it was delicious.
After a busy week we celebrated our anniversary again that weekend. Matt had planned all of it. We stayed at Hotel ZaZa in downtown Dallas on Saturday night. Before we went out to eat Matt had planned a massage for me at the spa. I think all my hints finally paid off!  We then went to dinner and came back to drinks in our Hotel. It was a great day and night. Thanks again Matt. I love you.
