15 Weeks- March 28th

I wanted a way to document each week of my pregnancy. I thought this would be a fun way. Pictures to come...

How far along? 15 weeks

Size of the baby? A navel orange

Maternity Clothes? I have been using the belly band for about 3 weeks now. I bought my first

pair of maternity jeans last weekend. I don’t ever want to take them off. They are so much more comfortable then the belly band.

Weight Gain? Ewww...the bad part--6 pounds

Stretch Marks? Nope—I have been using Palmers Coco Butter and it seems to be helping.

Gender? We were lucky enough to have a 12 week sonogram and the Doctor told us he was 98% sure it was a sweet little GIRL!
Movement? I swear I thought I felt something the other night, but I think it was just my stomach grumbling--haha.

Sleep? So far, so good. I am sleeping all night. I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.

Food Cravings? The most random things...chocolate milk, corn dogs, and chocolate donuts. I have not bought the donuts in 2 weeks because I can go thru a bag in 2 days…dangerous!

What I Miss? Caffeine, the afternoons are rough without a little pick me up. I also miss my skinny jeans I bought before I was pregnant.

Symptoms? I have had some pregnancy growing pains. My doctor calls them round ligament pain. They are sharp pains on my right and left side. Just another sign that my body is changing!

Best Moment of the Week? The nursery is finally cleared out. We have the crib in there and that is it. I cannot wait to start painting (matt ☺) and decorating.

Home Improvements

Now that the Holidays have come and gone Matt and I have decided that 2010 is going to be the year of home improvements. We bought an older house back in March and had done some cosmetic changes to it last year but nothing to substantial.

Now that we are settled in we are ready to make some bigger changes. This all started with our new cedar fence. I was a little skeptical to let this be our first big money sucking project but in the end I am glad we did it. We are now able to let Lexie stay outside and hunt for squirrels. I don't have any pictures of the fence yet but I will work on getting those put on here.
Our next project was to rip out carpet in our third bedroom and lay down new flooring. We saw this laminate wood at Sams Club a few weeks ago and just loved it. It really looks like the real stuff. So, I get a call at work from Matt at 10:20 Friday morning asking me if I wanted to start on the floors that night. i reluctantly said yes!

We have never removed carpet or installed flooring before so I knew this was going to be quite the task. Matt on the other hand was very confident in our abilities. we ripped carpet out Friday night and worked from 11-4 on Saturday to get the laminate laid. We were exhausted! We still have some molding to add but other than that we are finished. I just love how it turned out.

After 10 attemepts we finally got the first row straight.

The Finished Floor!!! Once I get the furniture placed and decorations up I will post a before and after picture. Our next few projects include our garage and the kitchen. The KITCHEN is the improvement I am most excited about.

We are headed to Amarillo this weekend to see Matt's family and see my sister play basketball at WT. I am so excited to see my sister Hannah! I miss her so much. And since this post would not be complete without a picture of Lexie here she is excited to go back to Amarillo!

2 years baby!!!

Matt and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversary tomorrow. I cannot believe it has been 2 years. I know everyone says it but it has gone by so fast. We have done a lot in 2 years and I am so thankful for a funny, loving, sweet hearted husband. I cannot wait for this next year.
We don't have any big plans. Were going out to eat tomorrow night and then celebrating more this weekend.
Here are some pictures from the big day!

Give Thanks

This will be a first, we are hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year. I am so excited to have my family come in and be with us for a few days. Unfortunately my Dad and sister will be in Colorado over Thanksgiving because Hannah has a college basketball tournament. It just wont be the same without them. So at the house we will have my mom, my brother and my Grandma. I cannot wait.
I have decided to cook my turkey in a roaster. I wanted to have the oven available for all the casseroles and other things so I decided on the roaster. I have never cooked meat like this in a roaster so I hope it turns out good.

On Friday we are going to be a little crazy and go shopping. We do not have a big Christmas tree yet so I am hoping to find one on sale. Then on Saturday matt is going to put up our Christmas lights and then we are all going to the new Cowboy stadium to see Tech play against Baylor. I am so excited to be at the game with all our friends and family.

It is going to be a great weekend. I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and I will try and post pictures of how the turkey turns out.
I would also love for my dining room table to look like either of these...

A Green Christmas

This year will be our first Christmas in the new house. I am so excited to decorate. Last year I found some Pottery Barn stockings that have inspired me for my color scheme.

I ordered 2 Green stockings.

I love this wreath from Pottery Barn.

I bought a wreath and ornaments from hobby lobby and am going to try and recreate it.

I will post some pictures of my progress soon.

It's going to be a Green Christmas!
